The recipe actually called for crushed Rice Krispies but the lady my mom got it from used corn flakes instead and that's the way we always made it.Marshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03537853790210987703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272761941682835961.post-61753154168427269592011-01-30T00:12:06.876-07:002011-01-30T00:12:06.876-07:00I've never had fried ice cream before and am a...I've never had fried ice cream before and am always so amazed at how the ice cream doesn't melt. The recipe is easy enough for several people to make it (you bring the ingredients to their house, they make it, freeze it and bring it to the conference). Do you think 30 9x13 pans would fit in a freezer? :D You can keep them in a cooler if there is not enough room.

If you use cornflakes, don't toast them. They are already crispy and crunchy. I just made a suggestion to toast the panko bread crumbs for the earlier commenter.Frieda Loves Breadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00265482581165683185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272761941682835961.post-27088853699458093292011-01-25T08:34:46.482-07:002011-01-25T08:34:46.482-07:00What a terrific idea for a large group... I'm looking for a dessert recipe for a stake women's conference (450 people) - I guess the problem would be where to store it (freezer space) Great idea!appetersenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08277562386641321607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272761941682835961.post-70528490658008055142011-01-24T22:36:22.930-07:002011-01-24T22:36:22.930-07:00Hmmmm...not sure about the panko crumbs...try toas...Hmmmm...not sure about the panko crumbs...try toasting them first as they will soak up the melted butter. Not to worry about sweetness, there is sugar added to the crumbs along with the coconut and melted butter.Frieda Loves Breadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00265482581165683185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272761941682835961.post-79227720511016464142011-01-24T17:13:28.395-07:002011-01-24T17:13:28.395-07:00Oh boy- this looks soooo yummy!
