6 Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce

Do you buy the jar of Alfredo sauce?  Or buy the powdered mix?  I do.  At least I did.   I can't believe that I've just discovered how easy and simple this recipe is!
First of all, roasted garlic tastes soooooo good....and it makes your kitchen smell like a true Italian restaurant!  Did you know that you can roast garlic in as little as 20 minutes?  Yep, you can!  Just head on over to King Arthur Flour's site and check this post out.

This Alfredo sauce has four, yes 4 simple ingredients:  butter, roasted garlic, half & half cream
and Parmesan cheese.  Please, put the powdered sand -like stuff away.  I buy my Parm cheese at Costco or Sam's and put it in the freezer.  Once you use the real stuff, you'll never go back....
Everything is melted together into utter creamy deliciousness.
My son put this sauce on his pizza, topped it with mozzarella cheese, olive oil and cilantro.  He gobbled it up before I could get a final shot...
I used it with some cooked chicken and pasta.
Make some sauce today.  You won't be sorry!

  1. Mmmmm, I love homemade alfredo! I always use it for pasta/chicken/broccoli/mushrooms . . . I never thought about putting it on pizza! I will have to tell the hubby about that idea - he will be in heaven!

  2. Homemade alfredo sauce is the best! Making roasted garlic is great for adding to a fresh batch of mashed potatoes as well. And your right your house smells wonderful. Making fresh breadticks also helps a great Italian meal.

  3. Looks delicious! I agree, once you use the real stuff, you'll never use the fake stuff again.

  4. This looks perfectly delicious. I always make my pasta sauces, but I've never tried roasting the garlic--I guess it never occurred to me. If only I could now convince my mother to stop wasting her money on prepared jarred sauces, then THAT would be success! Thanks for sharing.
