Magleby's is a restaurant in Utah that makes these rolls locally famous. I have not tried these rolls at the restaurant, but there are several people that have made these with the frozen store bought rolls with amazing results.
I made these with my Dinner Roll recipe and they are so good ... light and tender inside, with a cheesey bite from the salty Parmesan on the outside.
After the rolls are shaped, they are dipped in .... get this ...
mayonnaise, melted butter, and a combo of Parmesan cheese, garlic salt and parsley.
The rolls are left to rise before baking.
You will know when these rolls are done by the intoxicating smell coming from your oven...
Eaten alone or with some butter, these simple, yet extra fancy rolls are sure to be a hit with any meal.

Hi, I'm a bread-lover, I'm new to making homemade bread and I am new to your site - so exciting.
ReplyDeleteI came across this recipe and will attempt to bake this in a week or so, and wondered how many rolls will this recipe make?
And i drooled over the copycat outback/cheesecake bread recipe....Whew!
So I was looking at the recipe. Please confirm that I need 3 1/2 c. wheat flour
and 3-4 c. all purpose flour or 3/4c AP flour. It's just the way its printing out for me. I'm almost certain this should be 3/4 c. AP flour! Thanks for reading. I'm so coming back to try other recipes you have listed. Thank you for sharing :)
Hello and Welcome!
DeleteThis recipe will make 24 dinner rolls.
As for the Outback Bread recipe, it will take 3 1/2 c. wheat flour and anywhere between 3 or 4 cups of all purpose flour. It is a half wheat/half white flour recipe and depending on the weather and humidity in your area, you may or may not need all 4 cups of the all purpose flour.
Happy Baking!
